Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Jared. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort! Let's chat about your upcoming stay.
I just love the
Disney Dining Plan. It adds flexibility, convenience, and an all-inclusive feel to my Disney Resort hotel stays. I mean, what's not to love about that? You ask an excellent question.
As a dining party of 6, an 18% gratuity will be automatically added to your bill at table-service restaurants (with the exception of Cinderella's Royal Table and Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue where gratuities are included). Rather than the person who made the reservation being charged the 18% gratuity for all 6 Guests, each party of 2 will have that gratuity charge added to
their bill. Does that make sense? I once vacationed with my extended family of 14 and we all had the dining plan. We enjoyed all our table-service experiences as a large party of 14, but in terms of the Disney Dining Plan, we were one party of 2 and three parties of 4. Each individual party was automatically charged an 18% gratuity and had
their table-service meals deducted from
their dining plan on
their receipt. When you are seated for your dining reservation, your Server will be intentional about asking if you'll be using the Disney Dining Plan and what Guests are grouped together so they'll know what meals should be redeemed from each Disney Resort reservation.
Did you know you can
keep track of your Disney Dining Plan meals and snacks on the
My Disney Experience mobile app? It's super easy! Just visit the 'My Resort Stay' section and tap on 'Check Dining Plan' to view your total number of meals and snacks issued, how many you've already redeemed, and how many you have remaining. You'll also see them listed on your dining receipts.
I hope this was helpful, Jared. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
