Welcome back to planDisney, Nobina! I am so glad you enjoy coming here to ask your vacation questions!
Congratulations on being a dining reservation “ninja” and getting reservations for your large party! I know it is not an easy task.
Walt Disney World’s
dining cancellation policy states that a reservation must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or a $10 per person fee will be charged. When dining with a large group, I have found that more often than not, we wind up with one or two people who aren’t able to make it at the last minute. As long as someone shows up for the reservation time, usually you do not incur the fee. When this happens, I try to go up to the cast member working and explain the situation and let them know that a smaller table could accommodate us if that is easier for them.
You also can change the number of people on a reservation up until 24 hours in advance on the
MyDisneyExperience app or website. I do sometimes have trouble with that, though.
When making reservations, if you are looking for something different, consider
Olivia’s Café at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. I have NEVER had a bad meal here. My favorite is breakfast…the Banana Bread French Toast is delicious.
I hope this helps with your planning for your October trip to Walt Disney World! I know you will be back if you have other vacation questions!
Happy Traveling (& eating),
Tracy
