I'm going to be traveling to Disney in October and was wondering is it better to purchase the park tickets at the same time as the hotel or do it seperately? I just don't know if i can afford both things at the same time.

    Hi Alicia!

Personally, I always prefer to purchase my Walt Disney World park tickets separately from reserving my hotel room. I like to spread out the costs and take a little more time to plan my trip before deciding on which park tickets I'd like (how many days I'll need and the options I'd like). I really don't think there any downsides to separating the purchases.

The only thing you may want to keep in mind is if there is a Special Offer that requires a resort package reservation, you'll need to purchase tickets for that. The most popular promotion that requires this is the Free Dining Promotion which often occurs in the Fall. Of course, if you have already made a resort reservation, you could chose to change to a package reservation later - as long as there is availability at the resort & room type you've chosen.

    Hope that helps!
