I'm traveling with 4 adults plus 8 month old in March(6 days) and are DVC members/annual pass holders. Should we do the dining plan and which one, tables of wonderland, or pay out of pocket. We have 11 sit down planned so far.

    Hi, Luann!

Purchasing one of the Disney Dining Plans depends on how you like to eat on vacation. I would start by saying with 11 table service meals already planned, you may want to look at either the Disney Dining Plan or the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan features 1 Quick Service, 1 Table Service, and 2 snacks per person, per day. The Disney Deluxe Dining Plan offers 3 meals and 2 snacks per day. Both plans also give you the refillable mug, which you can use at the self-service beverage stations at your resort.

Two things with the dining plans -

Some dining experiences require 2 table service credits for each member of your party. For example, Cinderella's Royal Table will use up two of your credits for that one meal.

The second thing is that some people just find the dining plan to be just too much food. I love it, for example, when my one friends goes to Disney with the dining plan, because I know she's bringing snacks back home to share with my kids. She never gets through all of her credits.

My family uses the Tables in Wonderland membership. For us, because it's a one year membership, we usually get more than one vacation out of the membership. The card is good for 20% off at more than 100 Walt Disney World restaurants (mostly table service), and that's on your whole bill, so alcoholic beverages are included.

Enjoy eating around the World on your upcoming trip!
