    I'm a 1st time visitor enjoying my DVC membership this early Dec. & wanted to surprise my best friend with a miniature xmas tree I could ship in care of resort. How far in advanced should I send it to the resort?

    Welcome to the DVC! I love being a member.

    You should try to time your package so that it arrives at your resort 1-2 days in advance of your arrival. The best way to do this is to speak with your preferred shipper (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) and ask them how long it will take the package to arrive based on your home location. You should call your resort in advance and get the preferred mailing address. Also, the outside of the box should have your name and the word GUEST on it, as well as the date of your arrival.
