Hi Selina and welcome back to planDisney!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort! I have been camping there since I was little and I love taking my own family to make new memories at The Fort. It's such a unique way to "do Disney" and I always feel relaxed being nestled among the trees and knowing we are so close to
Magic Kingdom Park.
One of my favorite things about staying at Fort Wilderness is checking out all of the campsite decorations. There is no rule as to how early you can decorate, unlike my homeowners association, so you'll find campsites decorated all year round. Halloween and Christmas are the best times to visit because campers go all out for these two holidays. Starting November 1st, right after Halloween ends, Guests start setting up for Christmas, so early December is a great time to visit to take a look at the holiday decorations. You'll find tons of festive lights, inflatables and handmade decor all around. It's best to visit at night to really see everything lit up.
Christmastime is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World. Not only will you find beautiful decorations at Fort Wilderness, but they are all around the "World". Each
Disney Resort hotel has their own themed Christmas tree and each theme park is dripping in garland and wreaths. There is nothing better than walking down Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park and smelling the warm cinnamon rolls from the
Main Street Bakery.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
