I'm thinking of purchasing an annual pass do I need to purchase a pass for each member of my family even though the benefit of being a pass holder provides discounts for tickets?

Hey, Tammy! Becoming a member of the Annual Passholder family is a magical decision! I have been an Annual Passholder for many years and appreciate all of the great benefits provided to us. We make use of the room discount several times each year. While dining and shopping at Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to ask the Cast Members assisting you if they offer an Annual Passholder discount. Many offer 10% but during certain times of the year, you can stumble upon some terrific 20% or higher discounts at select locations! Be sure to look over the current list of Passholder Extras before you visit!

Tammy, there are certain restrictions when using your Annual Pass. For example, Annual Passholders are able to secure three Disney Resort Hotel rooms at a time with their discount. Annual Passholders also have a limit on the number of discounted tickets that they can purchase for Disney Water Parks and special events, such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Currently, there is not a Special Offer for Annual Passholders to purchase Disney Theme Park Tickets at a discount.

I am not sure how many family members you are bringing to Walt Disney World Resort this coming year, but if you have a family of four or less, then you could just purchase one Annual Pass and buy Disney Theme Park Tickets for the other members of your family. Your room and available ticket discounts would then cover the other members of your family. Note that you would need to be present and show ID for all merchandise and dining discounts to be utilized. If you have a larger family, then you may want to consider adding on another Annual Pass for your family. Also, if you have many trips planned for this year, you will need to do a bit of "Mickey math" to see if it makes sense for you to purchase Disney Theme Park tickets or Annual Passes for everyone.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
