I’m thinking of planning a cruise for my family and am wondering if there are any options for additional support for a teen with special needs in the kid’s programs.

    Ahoy, Jodi!

Welcome aboard! Thank you for allowing us to assist you with your question about a possible vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line. There is truly something for Guests of all ages while at sea with Captain Mickey and Minnie, so I hope it works out for your crew to experience all the magic and wonder of a cruise vacation

Jodi, Disney Cruise Line has a dedicated Special Services Team that I encourage you to reach out to with your question about your specific situation.  I know they will be happy to assist you as you try to figure out if this is the right vacation for your family at this time. They can be reached by phone at (407) 566-3602 or via email at specialservices@disneycruise.com. Vibe, the club for teens ages 14-17, is my daughter's hangout spot right now. She has mentioned teens with special needs experiencing Vibe during secured programming with some support from the youth counselors on our past sailings. The trained youth counselors (Vibe hosts) are fantastic, and always there to make sure all Guests are safe and having fun while in the teen space.

I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Jodi. I know it can be overwhelming to plan a cruise adventure, so we hope you'll come back to "sea" us with any further questions.
