I'm thinking of letting my son do the pirate cruise & have ?s. 1 since they leave from hotel do we need disney park tickets that day? 2 is it everyday or certain days only (I've seen both mentioned). What are the differences between them? Thank you!

Thanks for writing the Moms Panel Tryphena! Your son will be so excited to set sail on a Pirate Adventure Cruise! The cruises are currently schedules to go from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. You have four options from where to set sail: Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Port Orleans Riverside, the Yacht and Beach Club or the Grand Floridian Resort. Each cruise has a different pirate story, and the young buccaneers will listen to the tale and set off to find the hidden treasure. These adventures need to be booked in advance by calling (407) WDW-PLAY (939-7529), and they'll let you know what days are available for your vacation dates.

It's up to you whether you will visit a park on that day. Bear in mind, the cruise pretty much takes up the morning. You would need to use a park ticket to enter any of the four theme parks, regardless of the time you enter. If you decide to skip the parks that day, you might want to visit Downtown Disney, where there's so many fun things to do.

Wishing you a magical vacation Tryphena!
