Hi there, Melody!
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with a question about one of my topics: character interactions! For me, no visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is complete without a visit with Stitch and a certain duo of rascally chipmunks, so if you're looking to say, "Hi!" to Experiment 626, I'm happy to welcome you into my 'ohana. My husband and I recently spent some quality time with everyone's favorite extraterrestrial Disney dog in his home state at
Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, and we are still laughing about his adorably unpredictable antics.
In recent years, Stitch had exclusively been greeting Guests in
Magic Kingdom Park at the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland as a character sighting rather than a traditional meet-and-greet. Here he was able to pose for photos but not personally greet Guests with a hug or autograph. Although not currently listed in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, my planDisney pal
Elaine reported that this has changed, and he was greeting Guests near
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin just last week. She even snagged a hug and photo with him, so he's clearly been working on his manners. Since his schedule is not currently in the app, I would suggest checking with a helpful Tomorrowland Cast Member to see if they can verify an upcoming appearance. If that is unsuccessful, I've been known to grab a snack from
The Lunching Pad or
Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies and hang about for a bit to see if he appears. You also can't go wrong with a ride aboard the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. It's not time wasted if you're enjoying yourself, right?
If you'll be in 'Heartbreak Hotel' without a guaranteed Stitch sighting, I suggest making a reservation for the
Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana in
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort just a hop-skip-and-*
Monorail*jump away from Magic Kingdom park (no spaceship required). Not only will you be personally greeted by your beloved mischievous (but also cute and fluffy) blue pal, you can even spot his adorable face on your waffle and in a smoothie.
I hope this was helpful, Melody, and that you have a wonderful vacation full of memories that will never be left behind or forgotten. If any additional questions arise before your Spring Break-ay-tion, feel free to stop back by. Hakuna Matata.
I'm always happy to help!Cheers to Magic,
Lizzie
