Hi Lauren! Welcome to planDisney!
I can almost hEAR the excitement in your voice when it comes to talking about bringing your little ones to
Walt Disney World Resort! I'm positive that you're in for what is sure to be a memorable and magical vacation. While planning your Park days and making
Advance Dining Reservations is important, make sure to take some time to slow down and simply take it all in. You'll never get these moments again and I promise you you'll want to soak in every second.
As a mom of three, I know exactly how important those afternoon naps are (for Dad too!), especially when you're spending your days running from riding the teacups at the
Mad Tea Party to visiting the big man
Mickey Mouse himself at Town Square Theater. Lucky for you and your little guy there is SO much fun to be had at
Disney's Pop Century Resort during your midday break.
If your 5-year-old likes the water you'll definitely want to carve out some time to take a refreshing dip in the
Hippy Dippy Pool. Cast Members host pool parties in the afternoons that include games, activities, relays, and more! The last time we visited we made Mickey tie-dye t-shirts, which were great souvenirs. While these activities change daily, you'll typically find the daily activities posted in the Resort's lobby or by the pool. There is also a
playground located in the 70's section of the Resort, in case your son just wants to run and climb, or you can check out the
Fast Forward Arcade in Classic Hall.
Finally, you may find that you ALL need a nap during the day - and that's ok! It will give you just the burst of energy you all need to stay up for exciting nighttime spectaculars like
Disney Enchantment,
Harmonious and
Fantasmic!
