Ahoy Deondrick!
Your nephew is one lucky boy because you are giving him the best type of gift-magical memories! I know the two of you are going to have an amazing time together!
If you are sailing out of a U.S. home port and returning to that same port, your nephew will not need a passport for your cruise only his birth certificate. Disney Cruise Line recommends passports for all Guests because if an unforeseen emergency occurs while you are gone and you need to fly back to the states, you will need passports to board the plane. The
passport information is listed at
www.disneycruise.com so my advice is to read over it so you can make the best decision for your nephew.
Since you are not your nephew's legal guardian, you will need to bring along the Minor Authorization Form signed by his mother. This form does not need to be notarized and can be found when you complete your online check-in 75 days before your sailing. Just print it off and have your sister fill it out and place it with your important cruise documents.
Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel, Deondrick! If you think of any other questions, please let me know!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
