I'm taking my husband on a surprise "trip around the world" through World Showcase, but I'd like to avoid walking clear through Epcot. What is the best way to get to the international gateway from our resort (All Star Movies)? Thanks for this.

To get to the International Gateway entrance to Epcot, using Disney transportation, your best bet is to actually take a bus from All Star Movies to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From the Studios, you'll transfer to the Friendship Boats that travel the waterways in the Epcot resorts area. The boat will make a few stops at hotels and then take you to the International Gateway.

This will save you some shoe leather over walking through the Future World part of Epcot, but it will definitely not save you any total time. In fact, with the transfer time and the multiple stops by the boat, I think you'll be making your trip to the World Showcase take at least half an hour longer than taking a bus directly from the All Stars to Epcot's main gate.

If you'd like to save shoe leather AND time, then you're going to need a taxi. The Gateway is a five minute walk away from either the Beach Club or Boardwalk resorts. If you get a cab to take you there, you'll be fresh when you get to the Gateway.

Have fun on your World tour!
