Welcome aboard, Elizabeth! Your daughter will be at such a great age to enjoy all the fun that cruising with Disney has to offer!
When it's time to head ashore at the beautiful ports in the Western Caribbean, I have some favorite Port Adventures to recommend. Earlier this year, we loved visiting the Turtle Farm in Grand Cayman. The
Boatswain's Adventure Marine Park trip is a great one for the family. You'll get to wander the Turtle Farm at your own pace, exploring and learning and even have the opportunity to let your daughter climb in the water with the baby sea turtles.
In Cozumel, there is a great adventure called the
Cozumel Ruins and Beach Tour, that is for all ages. What I like about this tour is that parents and older children get to learn about the culture and history a the Mayan ruins of San Gervasio during the first part of the tour. Little ones won't understand much about the history, but the site is a beautiful one, full of lots of space for the kids to explore! Then, it's off to the beach to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and playing in the sand and waves at a beautiful beach club.
If you'd prefer to skip the ruins tour and just head to the beach club, you can spend the day at that same club by going on the
Cozumel Beach Break adventure. When you take this particular trip, admission to the kids' splash and water slide area is also included, which your daughter would probably love!
Have fun planning, Elizabeth. Let me know how else I can help before you set sail next fall!
