Hi, I'm taking my family to the art of animation hotel for week trip the 1st full week in Feb. I read that all Disney hotel pools are heated. Will it really be warm enough to use the pool at that time of year?

    Hi Nicole,

How fun that you're planning a winter getaway to sunny Florida! I don't know what your weather is typically like in Pennsylvania, but in Indiana, February can be dreary and cold, so a visit to the most magical place on earth in the midst of that sounds absolutely fabulous!

While the Walt Disney World Resort weather can certainly vary, the average highs for that time of year are in the low 70's and the average lows are in the 50's. With the Disney Resort hotel pools heated year-round to 82 degrees, I'm betting that there will be people swimming! I know that my Mouseketeers would think that 70 degrees in February feels like a heat wave and would have no problems at ALL enjoying a swim! While the pool will likely feel pretty comfortable, I'd suggest having towels nearby in case the air feels chilly when you get out. You'll have three swimming pools to choose from at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, so have fun picking your favorite! Did you know that The Big Blue Pool is the largest pool at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel and features underwater speakers? How cool is that!?

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicole, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation next February!
