Hey Joshua,
Welcome back to planDisney! I am super excited to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World this summer. Your plan to attend
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party while you’re there is a stellar idea. It’s a fantastic
special ticketed event happening at
Magic Kingdom on select nights from August 7 through October 31, 2026. I can definitely understand your hesitation in buying two sets of tickets, but I can’t say that I know anyone who wouldn’t want to attend this spectacular event at least twice in one season.
Guests will have the chance to experience enchanting entertainment such as Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade where so many of our Disney friends can be seen donning their best Halloween costumes. They'll also experience the dazzling Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular where the skies above Cinderella Castle will come alive with Halloween-themed fireworks and lasers. I can't forget to mention the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular where the Sanderson Sisters will perform in a wickedly delightful stage show in front of Cinderella Castle. During the party, guests will be given fun party bags to trick-or-treat with throughout the park and everyone (including adults!) can wear fun costumes. Additionally, select popular attractions will include spellbinding surprises like fun Halloween-inspired overlays and music. Guests will also be able to purchase party-exclusive merchandise as well as specialty treats, food and beverages at select quick-service locations throughout the park. This event really is amazing, and I say that as a person who wholeheartedly dislikes Halloween.
Considering all of these factors, it will be no surprise that event tickets typically sell out each year. The chances of being able to purchase same day or even same week tickets is going to be pretty slim, though availability can vary. Historically, the first week and Halloween week sell out especially quickly. If you think your Mouseketeer might enjoy the experience enough to go again, I'd recommend purchasing the second set of tickets while they are still available.
Tickets for this event are non-refundable and non-transferable, so you’d be locked in once you purchase them. However, considering that even those who desire Halloween celebrations the least like myself love this event so much, it might be a safe bet to secure multiple dates if there's even a faint desire to experience this event twice during your visit. On a related note, this past Christmas I tried desperately to purchase additional
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets during the week that I already had tickets for and they were completely sold out at that point. I wouldn’t want this to happen to you!
No matter what you decide, having your first set of tickets secured already is super smart. I am so glad that you’ll get to experience this event at least once, Joshua! Happy planning! Be sure to visit us here at planDisney again if you need more planning help. TTFN… ta-ta for now!
