I'm struggling with "how" the TIW card actually saves any money ... it's a 20% discount but they add an auto-18% gratuity ... so the net savings is 2%? Or I could just say that the TIW discount pays for the tip we otherwise would add. What am I m

Hi Sharon, I have had the Tables in Wonderland card for many years and absolutely LOVE it. Let me break it down for you: Let's say your meal cost $100. If you're paying out of pocket, you've got to leave about $118 on the table - your bill plus an 18% tip. With the Tables in Wonderland card, your meal cost is automatically reduced by 20%, making it cost $80. Then they add on a tip (which you'd have to pay anyway), making your total that you have to leave on the table $98. You're paying $118 dollars without the TiW card and $98 with the TiW for the exact same meal. That's a savings of $20. The TiW card does cost $75, but you can see that it doesn't take many meals to recoup this cost and move on to the real savings. If you visit a lot, travel with a large party, or eat primarily table service meals, the Tables in Wonderland card is a bit of a no-brainer. Good luck with your planning.
