I'm staying at WL Aug 18-25; my ? Are sand toys available at the WL beach that my 5 yr. old can use or must I bring my own toys? We're coming from Germany and hate to lug any unnecessary items. Thanks.

    Hi Kathleen,

I understand your dilemma. I am a horrible packer to begin with and then the need to fit large sand toys into my stuffed suitcases is enough to drive me crazy. I can tell you that while there are no sand toys specifically left out by the resorts, that often there are extra pails and shovels lying around. Often I think they have been left behind by other guests, probably me, not wanting to pack them back in my luggage. There is no guarantee that toys will be available, however most resort gift shops or even pool bars sell a few beach toy items. My suggestion is to pack a few small things, like a shovel, a mold and maybe a small pail and that should be enough in the event there are not extras lying around. We have found over the years that inflatable beach items are a big hit with our boys. If your son really needs a large selection of sand items, you may want to consider shippimg a small box directly to the resort that can be picked up upon your arrival.

Have a great time and be sure to pack that sunscreen!
