Welcome to planDisney, Tasheka! I'll be happy to discuss your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit today, especially since it looks like you will arrive any minute. As Mickey would say, "Oh, boy!" But you have to get to the theme parks to enjoy the magic, so let's go over the transportation options you might have during your vacation.
It sounds like you will be staying offsite at a rental property, which my husband and I have done several times. We once rented an apartment about 8 miles from Walt Disney World. When we arrived, we noticed several shuttle stops around the complex, with posted pickup schedules for the theme parks. Although we had a car and didn't use this free perk, I saw plenty of guests who did. So if this is the type of place where you'll be hanging your Mickey ears, I recommend asking your host about any shuttle services they offer.
If you booked a villa at an onsite Disney Resort Hotel, then you'll have many complimentary transportation options to take you around the property. For example, guests staying in a One-Bedroom Villa at
Disney's Contemporary Resort can
take a bus from their resort to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney's Hollywood Studios. Some resorts with villas also offer the
Disney Skyliner or the
monorail to whisk you to a theme park. Just head to the "
Amenities" tab on any resort home page for transportation details.
I've also camped in nearby Kissimmee and taken a rideshare to the theme parks. While this option isn't free, I do find that rideshares are often the quickest way to access that Disney pixie dust.
Tasheka, I hope I understood your question correctly and helped you plan your transportation. If I missed the mark, please
feel free to reach out again, and I'll do my best to find the answer. Have a fantastic time and, as my dad always said, buckle up for safety!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
