    I'm staying at the swan/dolphin for the princess 1/2. Will the Epcot entrance @ the international gateway be open or will I need to take a bus to the start? What about my family coming to watch me later?

    Hi Jill!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on running the Disney Princess Half Marathon! It was my first runDisney race and ever since I've been completely hooked!

    Epcot does not open for runners to cut through in the morning, so you will need to take the provided runDisney transportation from the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel or Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel to get to the starting line. The Interntaional Gateway that brings you in to the World Showcase between United Kingdom and France opens at the same time the main gate for Epcot opens. So depending on which corral you are in and what your pace is, your family may be able to enter this way. While you cannot see the times that far out yet, Epcot usually opens at 9 AM, or 8 AM if Extra Magic Hours are offered, but this is always subject to change. If this stays the same and you will be passing through your last mile after 9 AM then your family will be able to use this. Otherwise, they will need to take bus transportation as well.
