If I’m staying at a resort for one night but want to go to a park first in my personal vehicle, would I still have to pay for parking at the park or do I have to go to the resort first to check in or get a key card?

Welcome back to planDisney, Michelle! Thanks so much for sending us your question about your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I'm happy to report that standard parking at all four theme parks is complimentary for Disney hotel guests on the day you check in. You can go directly to the theme parks even before you check in at your hotel. All you have to do is let the Cast Member at the parking entrance know you are a guest at a Disney hotel. They may ask you to tap your MagicBand to a sensor at the gate or they may ask you for ID to verify that you are a guest and then you will be good to go!

You will also be able to enjoy the complimentary parking perk on the day you check out of your Disney hotel.

While navigating the parking lots at the Resort, be sure to check out Car Locator on the My Disney Experience app. It uses Location Services to find and save your parking details. You can also enter your vehicle information to find your vehicle manually within the app.

Michelle, I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. It's always our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next vacation!
