    I'm staying at Port Orleans Riverside and was thinking it would be fun to take the bus to Epcot, then the monorail to the Magic kingdom. What time does the Epcot monorial start running?

    Hi Davie!

    Congratulations on your upcoming stay at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort. It is one of my favorite moderate resorts, and having had the opportunity to stay in the mansions in December, and tour the royal rooms, you will not be disappointed!!! Don't forget to visit Riverside Mill, as it has a phenomenal food court, with made to order omelets that are delish!!!

    Transportation to the parks is plentiful throughout the resorts. From boat launch to buses to monorail, the choice is essentially yours. When planning on using the monorail, you would need to take the bus to MK and then take the monorail to the TTC and switch over to the Epcot monorail. Traditionally, the monorails begin operating one hour prior to park opening, so you would need to plan wisely as Disney buses can take up to 20 minutes or more to arrive at your destination. Always plan 40+ minutes for travel time, but when hopping from bus to monorail, you need to budget about an hour.
