Welcome back to planDisney, Rochelle! Thanks for sharing your high-flying dining question with us.
I’ve been a fan of
Pop Century Resort for years, and now even more so with the addition of the Skyliner. Having another transportation option to get you to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios—as well as Caribbean Beach Resort and Riviera Resort—is a total game changer.
There are a few things to consider when mapping out your route to
Cape May Cafe for breakfast (say “hi” To Minnie Mouse for me!).
The Skyliner usually begins operation about one hour before early entry at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, so be sure to check the park hours for the date you have in mind. According to the My Disney Experience app map, it takes about 30 minutes to get from Pop Century Resort to the Cape May Cafe via the Skyliner. Keep in mind that this estimate doesn’t account for lines at the Pop Century Skyliner station or a wait when you have to transfer gondolas at Caribbean Beach Resort.
With Cape May Cafe opening for breakfast at 7:30 AM (hours subject to change)—and assuming the park hours are similar to what they are today—I would suggest making your reservation for no earlier than 8:30 AM.
If you’d like to dine with Minnie and her beach-going pals earlier than that, you might consider renting a
Minnie Van to take you to the breakfast. If your reservation ends up being later in the morning, then you could take the complimentary bus service from Pop Century to Hollywood Studios, and from there take the Skyliner or Friendship Boats to Beach Club Resort, home of the Cape May Cafe.
Rochelle, I hope this information helps you plan the most magical day possible. Our knowledgeable group of panelists are always here to help answer your questions!
Happy planning!
