    Hello! I'm staying at one of Disney Resort in WDW, and will receive a complimentary magic band (standard band, color only) from Disney. Does anybody know if I can exchange the magic band with the character on it (more expensive) and pay the difference? Tks

    Hi Swanny. You're exactly right. Everyone in your party staying at a Disney resort will receive a Magic Band in the colour of their choice. Gift shops at Disney resorts, theme and water parks and Disney Springs all sell both the solid colour Magic Bands and Disney Parks Authentic special edition bands. These bands have all your favourite characters and themes. There is no exchange for the band you were issued with your reservation, but you can purchase additional ones and use them during your vacation.
