Hi! I'm staying off site in July and planning to drive to WDW daily. I've heard parking at the resorts and walking can save time at closing- If I pay $15 to valet park at a resort do I have to also pay the $15 daily theme park parking fee too?

Hi Emily! Parking at the Disney resort hotels is reserved for guests staying at those resorts or visiting them to dine or shop. Guests are not permitted to park at the Disney resort hotels and then head to the parks for the day. The few resorts that are within walking distance of the parks generally only issue three-hour parking passes for non-resort guests.

Self-parking at the resorts is free while valet parking costs $15.00. Parking in the theme park lots costs $15 per day, but once you pay the fee, you can visit multiple parks without repaying. Paying the valet fee would not, however, allow you to then avoid the theme park parking lot fee if you wanted to park in one of those lots later in the day. Also, when I've used valet parking, I've had to wait a bit for the valet to bring my car, and when you add that time to the time it would take you to walk between the park and the resort, I don't think you'd really save a lot of time.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
