Hi there, Ethan, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for coming to us with your question and I'm excited to see that your visit to the Disneyland Resort is beginning in just over a week! You're in for a real treat if you're staying at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! I love that property and I'm immediately in relaxation mode when I walk in those doors. That grand lobby is just beautiful!
I had the chance to speak to a Cast Member to make sure my information is current. At this time, since all pools at the Disneyland Resort Hotels are open, Hotel Guests are only able to access the Pool at their specific Hotel. That means that you'd have to be a Guest at the
Pixar Place Hotel in order to be able to use their pool. They have a pretty neat themed Pool Deck, but the Pools at the Grand Californian are also cool in their own way. You have three separate pools from which to choose in a relaxing courtyard setting. You can even consider renting a
Cabana for the day for the ultimate in luxury!
In the past, during construction when some of the pools were closed, there was an option for Guests to be shuttled to a neighboring Hotel's pool, but that phase has since completed.
Are you all set for your visit, Ethan? Have those park and dining reservations handy! The summer crowds have arrived, so I would also recommend
Genie+ for your consideration. It's an extra paid option to your ticket but it'll allow you to utilize
Lightning Lanes at select attractions which will let you bypass the standby queue. You'll be able to get so much more done in your day!
Ethan, I hope that this was helpful for you. Please feel free to return again if you have more questions. You're always welcome at planDisney and we'd love to hear from you!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
