Ahoy, Brooke, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are planning the ultimate Land and Sea vacation!
I understand the dilemma you're in. What's a girl to do when she needs to
pack for everything under the sun, including cocktail dresses for dinners at
Remy and
Palo, and bathing suits, snorkeling gear, and hiking boots for Port Adventures? I checked with Guest Services, I was told that unfortunately there is no guarantee that your luggage can be stored. Things of this nature are handled on a case by case basis and would depend on the occupancy level and storage availability at your first resort. My suggestion would be to ask the Bell Services Team at your initial
Walt Disney World Resort hotel if they would hold your bags until the day of check-in at your second resort.
If they are unable to Brooke, remember that
Disney Cruise Line allows guests to check up to two bags per person (of 50 pounds or less each) plus a carry on bag. Your carry-on must be no larger than 22" x 14" x 9', as it will be put through an x-ray machine as you enter the cruise port terminal. One thing that I love about the cabins is that the queen size bed is raised about 1 1/2 feet off the ground for convenient luggage storage. My fellow panelist,
Sherry, answered a similar question for a guest recently, and she offered some helpful hints, including
doing laundry while on board. Just don't be like me and wait until the last day on the ship, because you might have to thumb wrestle for a washing machine!
Captain Mickey and I wish you a magical vacation this summer, Brooke! If there's anything else you need, remember we're all ears!
