Hello, Holly! Thanks so much for taking the time to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We want to ensure you have the most magical trip possible!
When you're at The Most Magical Place on Earth, you don't want anything interfering with your precious time with Mickey, so it's important that you feel your best! The folks at Walt Disney World Resort are well versed in making accommodations for Guests with allergies. If you've already made your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, then I would advise calling the Reservations phone line at (407) 939-1936 (have your confirmation number handy), and ask the Cast Member make a note in your file for a detailed cleaning of the room and hypoallergenic bedding and towels. Then, follow up a few weeks in advance of your arrival and remind them about what accommodations you need.
In my experience in staying at the
Walt Disney World Resort hotels, the pillows and bedding were from the Sobel at Home collection (we get so many questions about bedding that I always take pictures of the tags). You can take a peek at the website online; most of their pillows, such as the Sobella Supremo Pillow, are gel-filled, so you shouldn't have an issue (these pillows are so comfy, I have them on my own bed at home). However, depending on the severity of your allergy, you may want to consider bringing your own bedding. Simply notify the front desk of your resort hotel of your intent to use your own pillows and blankets when you check-in, so they can inform the Mousekeeping staff.
Coming from New York, Holly, I'm sure you'll enjoy the comfortably mild Florida temperatures in January. Hopefully, your trip overlaps with one of my favorite events, the
Epcot International Festival of the Arts, which starts on January 17. If you need any more advice, remember we're all EARs!
