Hi Deborah! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm SO excited to hEAR about your upcoming stay at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort at
Walt Disney World Resort. I'm always an advocate for staying in one of the more than
25 Disney Resorts Collection hotels right on Disney property so that you're surrounded by the magic all throughout your trip. I love the immersive theming and the incredible swimming areas at each of the Resorts. Put the two together and you have fantastically themed pools like
The Lost City of Cibola Pool at Disney's Coronado Springs! Every day you'll find some exciting pool parties that reflect the essence of each Resort. At your "home away from home" during your trip, you'll even see "The Swimming of the Bulls", a pool activity that will entertain the entire family!
I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful Resort this past spring and I was blown away by the beauty of the Golden Lake, known as Lago Dorado, as it shimmered in the sunlight. My friends and I consistently used Disney's complimentary bus transportation to and from the Parks and Disney Springs. We found the busses easy to navigate and hopped on the bus stop right outside the Gran Destino Tower where we were staying. There are a total of four bus stops at the Resort, one at Gran Destino Tower, one at the Casitas, one at the Ranchos and one at the Ranchos and Cabanas. The bus service from Disney's Coronado Springs does not currently service any other Resort and does head straight to the Parks after the last in-Resort stop.
I always plan for at least an hour of travel time between my Guest room door and my destination, and perhaps even a little longer if I'm heading to an
Advance Dining Reservation. Busses run approximately every 20 minutes, so even if you get to the station as one pulls away you won't have too long to wait for another!
Enjoy the sunny skies of The Most Magical Place on Earth!
