Hi, I'm staying at AKL soon, with my son - can you tell me the minimum age allowed for massage/spa treatments please? Thanks!

    Welcome, Ailsa!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a favorite resort for my family. In fact, on our last two Walt Disney World family trips, we've chosen to stay there for the week, in our favorite rooms: the Savannah View rooms. It is simply incredible to wake up each morning, pull back the shades and see a giraffe and other wildlife right off the balcony! Even when we're not staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, we make reservations for at least one meal there, especially at Sanaa, so we can still have the chance to get up close and personal with the animals from the open viewing areas around the resort!

I've enjoyed a few amazing massages during my Disney vacations, so I do highly recommend that or another spa treatment if you have time. You'll certainly be enjoying magical moments all day and night, but if you're like me, all the fun in the parks may wear you out, so a few hours relaxing in the spa is heavenly. Animal Kingdom Lodge features the Zahanati Massage and Fitness Center offering a wide variety of treatments. These treatments are reserved for guests ages 14 and up, so if your son is old enough, that sure would be fun to have him join you for a spa service during your stay!

Have fun planning this exciting vacation, Ailsa!
