I’m from out of state but my little boy and his mother are residents, can I have her buy the ticket for him and I’ll purchase a regular ticket? She won’t be present with us on the days we go. Is that still okay?

    Hi Mike, welcome to planDisney!

Mike, Guests using a Florida Resident theme park ticket are required to show proof of residency when activating their ticket. For Guests under 18 who may not have a form of ID, a guardian over 18 must be present to show proof of Florida Residency at the time of ticket activation.

If your son’s mother can verify her Florida Residency, she may do so using a valid Florida driver’s license, valid Florida state-issues ID card, or valid Florida-based military ID. If she does not have one of these forms of ID, she can provide a photo ID along with evidence of Florida residential address such as proof of current mortgage, or one of the bills, policies or registration, or forms of mail listed.

If you’re planning to stay at Walt Disney World Resort for your visit, don’t forget to check out the Special Offers page to see if there are any discounts that can apply to your upcoming visit. You didn’t mention when you’ll be coming to Walt Disney World but there are current offers for Disney Resort hotel stays during the holiday season and into 2024.

I hope this was helpful, Mike.  Enjoy spending time at Walt Disney World Resort with your son! If you have any future questions as you continue to plan your visit, come back and see us at planDisney!
