As a Flordia resident, are you allowed to purchase a Florida resident ticket package and then afterward purchase a resort stay including a Flordia discount? I know these can not be used at the same time

Hiya, Hunter, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you know someone who lives in Florida, or maybe you're considering a move to the Sunshine State. Either way, I can personally vouch that the resident perks and discounts at Walt Disney World Resort are phenomenal! Let's look specifically at how Florida folks can book their magical vacations.

Since special offers for Florida Residents are subject to change, this topic is a moving target, Hunter! Currently, there are some excellent resident discounts on many Disney Resort Hotels. When you add a hotel to your cart online, you'll have the option to add Theme Park Tickets. The ticket type you can add at this time is not discounted for residents, but I spoke to a friendly Cast Member who said to keep checking because a resident ticket deal might drop for 2024 that could be part of a Vacation Package.

The advantage to bundling your resort stay and tickets in a Vacation Package is that you can secure your trip with a single deposit. You can also make modifications and cancellations until 30 days before your trip.

Sometimes, special ticket offers for residents are available for purchase, but you won't be able to bundle those with your resort stay. In this case, the tickets must be paid in full at the time of purchase and will be nonrefundable. For example, The 4-Day Disney Summer Magic Ticket is valid until late September 2023 but must be purchased separately. In this case, you'd buy theme park tickets and book your hotel stay as two transactions.

My best tip is to explore the website by adding your Disney Resort Hotel to your cart, and then you can see what ticket options for a package you'll have at that time. But before you make the final purchase, I'd suggest calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to ensure you're getting the best value. I find Cast Members are always knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest offers.

Hunter, I hope I've helped you travel the winding, magical road of Disney vacation planning. Please feel free to come back by planDisney with additional questions because we love to help guests plan practically perfect vacations.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
