Pack your bags, Kaetlan - You're going to
Walt Disney World Resort! Your visit is just over the horizon, and I bet you're getting excited. And congratulations on being an
Annual Passholder. I'm part of the passholder family, so it's like we're Disney cousins! Let's look at how you can take advantage of the perks and discounts during your trip.
I chatted with a helpful Cast Member who said you should be fine showing your official digital photo ID to qualify for
passholder discounts at most shops and restaurants. He also recommends bringing a hard copy of your photo ID as a backup. He added that you'll need a physical photo ID for things like purchasing alcohol and checking into your Disney Resort hotel.
From my personal experience, most restaurants and shops will ask to see your Annual Pass in your
My Disney Experience mobile app. Open the app, tap the three lines in the lower right, and then tap the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. Your annual pass should be displayed with its bar code and expiration date; if you have more than one admission type, you might need to swipe to find your pass.
Disney MagicMobile service is a fabulous tool to use for theme park admission, Lightning Lane passes, and more. However, since your annual pass expiration date isn't displayed on your MagicMobile pass, I've found that most locations will ask to see your pass in the mobile app instead. My tip is to set up Face ID on your phone to save time opening your app. Every second of magic counts!
My favorite place to find souvenirs is
Creations Shop at EPCOT. This bright and spacious store is my go-to, especially for festival merchandise. Since you're visiting during the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, keep an eye out for fun items like spirit jerseys. I recommend using
Merchandise Mobile Checkout because your passholder discount should autoMAGICally be applied to your total.
Kaetlan, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and wishing on a star for a fabulous visit! Please stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
