Hey, Nichele! Having a vegetarian daughter, I know that I can feed her something at any Walt Disney
World restaurant without an issue. And with your gluten sensitivity, you want to check into
Disney's Special Dietary Requests information.
But I totally get the outstanding restaurant thing!
The best thing about
Walt Disney World dining is the diversity. I find the most vegan friendly dining experiences are at the Asian and African inspired restaurants.
Sanaa is African inspired cuisine with an Indian flair, and even the dishes with animal proteins can be made without. The flavors are deep and delicious, and the bread service can be made with gluten free and vegan Naan options.
Boma - Flavors of Africa is a winner every time. This buffet meal, located inside
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, has vegan soups, salads, and entree offerings (oh my yum, the spiced sweet potatoes!), offers a really good selection that doesn't limit you to a salad or a noodle dish.
Another amazing meal that offers a selection of vegetarian options is
Teppan Edo at Epcot. The dishes can be made without animal products, and the food is delicious.
There are gluten free pastas available at the Italian restaurants, and there are quite a few options available at any of them.
Enjoy your visit!
