Im a single parent who wants to vist WDW with my son who's 3yrs and only 35" tall. Obviously, he's not tall enough to ride many of the bigger rides and neither would I since I will be the only parent. Is this a good time to visit or should we wait?

    Jessica,

Don't wait!  Every age is a good time to visit Disney, and in my opinion you will have wonderful experiences with your young son now that would not be possible if you wait until he is older.

My oldest daughter was not even 35 inches on her first trip to Disney and we had an incredible vacation.  I was also very pregnant at the time so I skipped many of the 'big' rides as well, and I didn't feel I missed out.  Disney is designed for people of all ages, shapes and sizes, and there really will not be much that your son can't do.  At 35 inches he can even ride Goofy's Barnstormer!  And be sure to tell the Cast Member running the ride that this is his first roller coaster - they have special surprises for just this occasion.  :)

At 3 the magic will be very real for your son, and a little extra magical for you because of that.  Seeing his eyes light up when he meets his favorite characters, watching him dance along at Playhouse Disney, or buying him that first set of Mickey ears will touch your heart too.  I know I tear up every time I see that wondrous expression on one of my daughters' faces.  If you wait and go when he's older you'll have a great time then too, for sure, but for me nothing replaces those special little-kid moments when they really truly believe.  I know I'd happily forgo Space Mountain to experience that toddler magic!  :)
