Welcome aboard, Jennifer! How wonderful to hear that you are looking into a magical sailing with Disney Cruise Line to Alaska! My family and I are so excited to head to the Last Frontier with Disney soon, ourselves! What an amazing trip it will be!
The Disney Wonder is one of my favorite ships, and it is about to undergo an exciting re-imagination this fall! By the time you set sail next year, there will be all sorts of
new venues and activities available onboard the Wonder!
Disney Cruise Line requires that a guest over 21 must be registered in each stateroom where there is an under 17-year old staying. So, unfortunately, it looks like you'll be best booking one stateroom for your group of four. Rest assured, however, that Disney Cruise Line's staterooms are much more spacious than you'd expect. I would recommend a Deluxe Family Stateroom for your group, as it is the largest size of the regular staterooms. If you are able to book one of the
Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah, you'll get even more space for your teens to hang out, as the verandah makes for such a relaxing spot to escape while others are getting ready in the stateroom. These staterooms sleep up to five.
Most of Disney's staterooms offer split bathrooms. One bathroom has the shower/tub and sink. The second bathroom has another sink and the toilet. Plus, both offer shelves and storage space. My family of four loves having these split bathrooms, because when it's time to get ready for dinner, one of us can shower, while the others use the other bathroom, so it makes things go much faster. You'll really enjoy this luxury, Jennifer!
I hope those details help as you continue to look at which staterooms to book. Let us know if you have other questions before you set sail!
