Ahoy Leslie!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm thrilled to hEAR you will be setting sail on another Disney Cruise in April! The
Disney Dream recently had some exciting enhancements including two interactive areas in the youth spaces-Star Wars and Disney Infinity. If you need a sugar rush, be sure to stop by Vanellope's Sweets and Treats for a variety of delectable goodies including gelato, candy apples, cupcakes or mix-and-match candies (offered for a nominal fee)! These are just a few of the new experiences that will be awaiting you when you set sail in just a couple of months!
I'm glad you have decided to venture ashore when the ship docks in Nassau. I have not personally participated in the
Sea Lion Encounter at Blue Lagoon, but have experienced a similar excursion. When my family did a dolphin adventure, we did purchase the photos that were taken since it was the only way to have pictures of the outing. I remember both photo packages and a DVD were offered at various price points, and they were on the expensive side (I think we paid around a $100.00 for our photos). Since this is an optional purchase, you can decide whether or not this is something you want to budget for now. As for lunch, I always find eating in tourist destinations to be a bit more pricey than eating out at home. I would estimate on spending around $15-$20 per person. If you don't want to spend a lot, plan on eating a big breakfast on the ship and pick up snacks at Blue Lagoon instead of a full meal.
I think you are smart to be thinking ahead to what expenses you can expect ashore, Leslie. We appreciate you stopping by with all your cruise questions!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
