I’m seeing that a lot of people are claiming Disney World isn’t accepting cash anymore, but I thought it was just the snack carts? Are we able to pay cash or is Disney now cashless as of 2026? It’s the most cost effective method as a Canadian traveler!

Cha-ching, Isabella, and thanks for "spending" your time here at planDisney. We love helping guests get ready for their Walt Disney World Resort visits, and yours is just around the corner. Let's get a little jingle in our pockets and talk about payment methods during your trip.

I've noticed those "Cashless" signs at snack carts and festival food trucks, so I understand your concern. But I chatted with a frugal Cast Member who said not to worry; most restaurants and merchandise locations still accept cash, credit cards, and Disney Gift Cards. He added that you can still pay cash for theme park tickets and your Disney Resort Hotel, too.

I don't know what the future holds for payment methods, but I suggest keeping an eye on Disney Parks' official social media for updates. Money makes the world go 'round, but I guess it can be paper or plastic!

If you do plan to grab some buttery popcorn or festival snacks, my tip is to use your cash to buy a Disney Gift Card. Disney merchandise shops sell them, and they're accepted at most Disney-owned vendors and eateries. This way, you won't get caught with empty pockets when you have a hankering for a snack!

Speaking of festival food, I hope you head to the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. The Food Studios scattered throughout the park offer delicious, creative bites to sample. My can't-miss dish at this springtime festival is the Grilled Cheese served with Tomato Soup at the Pop Eats! booth. The weather in central Florida has been cool recently, so a comfort meal sounds perfect. And the cute little can it's served in makes a fun keepsake, too.

Isabella, I've been happy to help you today; you can take that to the bank! I hope your Disney visit is full of magical memories. Stop by planDisney anytime...you can keep the change!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
