Welcome aboard, Jill! You must be getting excited to set sail on the
Disney Dream soon! Your entire family is in for so much magic onboard and in the ports of call, as there truly is
something for everyone on a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
Disney's Rotational Dining is one of my family's favorite parts of sailing. We get to rotate through all three main restaurants, and our same serving team meets us each night in the different restaurants, getting to know our preferences and we get to know them. They become like part of the family by the end of the cruise!
I'd recommend leaving at least an hour and a half or more for dinner. I wouldn't want you to rush out of your restaurant, possibly missing some of the magical experience that awaits you in each (especially at
Animator's Palate). If you're able to re-book the next activity for a bit later, try to do so. If you cannot re-book it, just let your dining servers know when you arrive for your meal that you need to leave early, and they'll do their best to be sure you're well taken care of and on your way in time, but I do believe that's a pretty tight fit with only one hour.
There are so many activities going on around the ship, you'll be thrilled with all that is offered, but you won't be able to do it all! Be sure to plan some down time too, as you'll have even more fun in the quiet, unscheduled moments when you can explore the ship and maybe even run into Disney friends around the halls!
Have fun planning, Jill!
