Hi Hannah!
Disney is a great place to explore on your own! Of course, there are rides and attractions, but doing Disney solo style means you can take your time to soak in all the magic, slow down and savor the little details.
Look for the smaller performances and activities you might miss if you simply head for your favorite attraction. At the Magic Kingdom, take time to watch the
Dapper Dans or
Casey’s Corner Pianist on Main Street, U.S.A. Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some amazing shows in the Harambe Village area. You can spend an entire day there just enjoying the shows and watching the people go by!
Epcot’s World Showcase is filled to the brim with things to see and experience! Grab a snack or margarita in Mexico and check out
Mariachi Cobre one afternoon, then venture to The American Adventure and take a listen to the amazing
Voices of Liberty. Wander into the pavilions of World Showcase. Did you know there is an
art exhibit in Japan? Or take some time to watch the miniature trains in Germany. And if music is your thing, there are currently three
concert series a year at Epcot! We have seen both Tiffany and Rick Springfield the past two years and both concerts have been fantastic.
Lounges are a wonderful place to pull up a seat, order a beverage and an appetizer for a great meal on a budget. One of my favorite locations is the outdoor patio known as the
Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. This little patio is walk-up only and serves small plate style food. The sliders are amazing! Even some quick-service locations have a lot to see and explore. Wander to the second floor of
Pinnochio Village Haus where there is a very small patio that overlooks Fantasyland, and you can actually sit out there!
You’ll find plenty of amazing things to check out when traveling solo, and no one will complain about your choices, it’s all up to you! Slow down, open your eyes, wander and explore and you’ll find a wealth of magic throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!
Happy Travels!
