Hi, if I'm running the Princess Half Marathon 5K race, can a family member come see the race or be there at the finish line?

Hello, Rocio! Thanks for racing to planDisney with this awesome question. I love runDisney races, and have run at each marathon weekend since 2022! I’m already training for Dopey 2027! runDisney races are packed full of good vibes, positivity, and, of course, Disney! I’m so excited for you!

Spectating is an important part of the runDisney experience. I can confirm that your family can be at the finish line to help you celebrate your race completion. Unfortunately, the official route will not be announced until about 5 or 6 weeks before the event. That means the official spectating viewpoints also won’t be published until about that time. In past years, the viewing area was at the start and finish line. For the 5K, I would suggest picking one location. Bring a sign, a noise maker, and a loud voice for cheering!

runDisney will email you a Digital Expo and Event Guide as you get closer to the race. This will contain a lot of information about the course, buses or parking, spectating, and the race expo, where you’ll pick up your bib and race shirt. This information will explain the timing of bus transportation for participants and spectators. Your cheering section should be able to take one of the buses provided by runDisney that run between your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and the event. If you are driving yourself to the event, your family can come with you, but should head to the area they hope to cheer from when you head to the corals.

Rocio, I hope you have a great time at the Princess Half Marathon 5K. If you have any more questions about planning for your trip to Walt Disney World, don’t hesitate to come straight back to planDisney. Don’t forget, every mile is magical.

I hope you have a magical day.

    Corey
