Hi George,
Thanks for submitting your question. Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Have you considered attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) in lieu of your day visit to the Magic Kingdom? I love the special event parties at the Magic Kingdom (this and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party). Why? Here are some of the perks: you can enter the park as early as 4 p.m. and get three extra hours out of that party ticket. That's right, eight hours total of Magic Kingdom fun (the party goes until midnight). Because you need a special ticket to enter, the crowd levels in the park are incredibly low. What this means for you is shorter lines for character meet and greets and for your favorite attractions compared to a busy holiday park day. Also, special shows (like Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season and Celebrate the Season Show) and Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade! Let's not forget my favorite part: complimentary cookies and hot cocoa available throughout the park during the party. There are also other special sweet treats such as special cupcakes available for purchase only during the party (check your party map for items and locations). Finally, a magical snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A. Yes, during the party, even the warmest December evening in Florida will have snowfall!
George, I hope this has been enough to convince you that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is one of the best events of the year at the Magic Kingdom! Please come back and join us again if you have any additional questions!
