I'm pregnant so I know I won't be able to do the Rise of the Resistance ride, but is it possible to be part of the Rise of the Resistance 'walkthrough' experience leading up to the actual ride?

Bright suns, Deborah! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Oh my Disney...I hEAR your journey to Batuu starts today! Well, I hope my message gets to you in lightspeed time! I recently experienced Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and I can assure you that it lives up to all the hype. However, as I'm sure you're aware, there is a sign posted outside of the queue, stating that "Expectant mothers should not ride" (I wish I could tell you that the Force will protect the child).

I spoke to Cast Member when I traveled for last month's Media Event, and I was told that you are not committed to the ride until you are actually in the trackless ride vehicle, so going through the pre-show portion of the attraction might be allowed. I suggest speaking with a Cast Member or someone from the Guest Experience Team in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to find out the official policy. I've also linked the Walt Disney World webpage that lists all the attractions with an Expectant Mothers Advisory

One thing I would definitely recommend doing is getting a bite to eat at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. The local food is otherworldly and delicious! I'm especially a fan of the Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread. There's plenty of room to sit down and relax in the spacious hanger, or if the weather is nice, you can grab a table in the outdoor seating area.

Have a wonderful trip, Deborah! Til the Spires!
