Greetings, Ashley!
Welcome to planDisney! Getting discounted Disney Gift Cards from your favorite retailers is an amazing way to save on your upcoming stay. This is always one of my top pro tips! You are correct,
the maximum amount that one Disney Gift Card can hold is $1000. But I am happy to report that you can use multiple cards to pay for your adventure. Here's how it works.
You can make payments towards your Walt Disney World Resort vacation through
the My Disney Experience tab on the website. Next to your package details should be an option to
Make a Payment. Click this link, and follow the remaining prompts to add your gift card to your balance. You can do this as often as you like! You can also apply Disney Gift Cards by phone by
contacting the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line. If you have not booked your magical adventure just yet, you will pay an initial deposit, and then you can continue to make payments with Disney Gift Cards until the balance is due!
There are a few tips I like to offer for scenarios like this one. Be sure to hold on to all physical (or digital)
Disney Gift Cards until after your stay. Should your plans change, all refunds are applied to the original payment method. In this case, refunds would be credited back to the Disney Gift Cards, so you'll want to have those on hand. I also want to mention that payments can only be made through the website, and not on
the My Disney Experience app. And finally, keep an eye on the final balance due date. You'll want to be sure your trip is paid in full on time and that those gift cards are put to magical use!
We hope to see ya real soon!
