Hi there, Leslie! Welcome to planDisney! You’re visiting at one of my favorite times of the year! Fall at Disney World is perfect! The temperatures are a little cooler, and the crowds are a little lighter!
I’m excited that you’ll be visiting for the first time! I’ve included a link to a video that my fellow planDisney panelist, Elaine, and I filmed with great tips for first-time visits! I hope it’s helpful with your planning!
If you’re looking to see Happily Ever After, the traditional nighttime fireworks show at
Magic Kingdom, then October 5, 2026, should be a good date to visit. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is not scheduled for that evening.
Leslie, since we’re still several months away from your visit, the
Disney Parks calendar doesn’t have operating hours or fireworks times posted yet. I encourage you to check the
page for Happily Ever After. As we get closer to fall, the showtimes will be posted on the page. You’ll also be able to see the operating hours for Magic Kingdom for October 5, 2026, as we get closer to the fall months. I recommend checking in early August 2026.
And don’t forget to get your complimentary “1st Visit” button! These make for a great (free) souvenir! They can be picked up at either your Disney World hotel or at Guest Relations at any of the four Disney Parks!
Dreams do come true!
