Hey, Larecca!
I totally get your dilemma. Both seasons at
Walt Disney World are really special, and both
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party are uniquely magical. It's so tough to choose.
The last of the Halloween parties usually takes place on Halloween night. When the
Magic Kingdom closes that night, all of the fall decor comes down, and it's like Santa's Elves get straight to work on bringing the Christmas joy to the theme park. This year, and in some past years, the first Christmas Party doesn't happen until about a week after Halloween, so if you extend your vacation to that point, you may be able to squeeze in both parties.
Even if you won't be there for both parties, you should get a little taste of the Christmas season if you spend any time at the beginning of November at Walt Disney World. Most of the holiday decorations around the resorts begin going up by the second week of November, but you'll see the holidays making their presence known as soon as November 1st.
And this is why my family keeps going back! There's always something to see or do that we either haven't done before or has become one of our most favorite things that we want to do again.
Happy planning, Larecca!
