I'm planning a vacation to Disney World with my husband and 2 yr old daughter in March. Do you have some recommendations for a kid friendly hotel that also has some "parent" accommodations (such as a lounge) that is on property?

    Hello, Tina!

Most of the Disney Resort hotels have a small bar or lounge for grown-ups to enjoy an adult beverage (or two), and many of the Deluxe Resorts go beyond the standard pool bar to include fine dining options and gorgeous lounges. I recommend selecting a Disney Resort hotel that also offers a supervised children's activity center or in-room childcare, so you can be sure your daughter is well taken care of while you enjoy a special night out with your husband.

My family and I really enjoyed our recent stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, home of the eerily entertaining Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. Each afternoon, my husband and I stretched out with a cool drink from the Barefoot Pool Bar while our daughter participated in the Disney Junior Pool Party and other activities at the Lava Pool. It was so wonderful to be able to actually enjoy a little bit of relaxation on our family vacation.

Wishing you all the limes, coconuts and frosted beverages you can handle, Tina!
