I'm planning a trip for the week after Thanksgiving of 2012. We have two toddlers and my wife and I are excited to return around the holidays. Which resorts in the moderate/deluxe are the best around the holidays? And are all attractions open?

    Hi Scott!

Thanksgiving, and other holidays, at Walt Disney World see the resort in full swing. When the holidays arrive, the parks often see the highest attendance of the year, along with the longest operating hours you'll see all year.

My favorite resort, at any time of year, is the Wilderness Lodge. At the holidays the Wilderness Lodge is at its finest. Not only is it adorned with a 4 story (or so) high Christmas tree decked out with Native American inspired decorations like teepees, but there are also swags of garland along the balconies and lighted deer in the lobby. Some nights there are even bell-ringers playing a chorus of Christmas Carols.

A definite plus for the lodge is its great location too. Its just a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary and Ft. Wilderness.

Hope this helps! Have a great time planning and be sure to let the Moms Panel know if we can help with any more advice!
