Hi Crystal,
My family has enjoyed several September visits to the Walt Disney World Resort! While I can't predict for sure what the weather will be this coming September, I can tell you that in an average year, there's a possibility for some rain, but the temperatures are usually more mild than in the summer months. September does fall within the
hurricane season, so just be aware of that possibility, however, I would count September (well, anytime after Labor Day weekend) as one of the best times of the year to visit, crowd-wise, since schools around the country are just back in session.
As for which theme parks to visit, there are definitely things at all four parks that I'm sure you and your son will love! You could easily spend one full day at Magic Kingdom Park! There are MANY attractions you'll be able to experience together, plus lots of fun character greeting opportunities and exciting parades and shows that will surely bring big smiles to your faces. At Disney's Hollywood Studios,
Toy Story Land opens June 30th, and I can't WAIT to feel what it's like to be a toy in Andy's backyard! So fun! At Disney's Animal Kingdom, not only will you and your Mouseketeer love the seeing the wildlife, but there are some captivating
shows and attractions for preschoolers there, too. Actually, I could say the
very same thing about Epcot! If you end up purchasing Park Hopper Option tickets, I'd suggest spending one day at Magic Kingdom Park and hopping around for days 2 and 3 to visit those attractions and experiences that excite you most at the other theme parks.
Thanks for stopping by, Crystal, and please let us know if we can help with anything else! Wishing you a truly magical vacation!
Missy
