I'm planning a trip to WDW this year. We are Disney Visa cardholders, and I noticed a photo perk for cardholders at one of the parks. Outside of ticket and lodging perks, what is the best way to be informed about these small perks?

    Hi Julie!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by so we can chat about making the most of your Disney Visa® Card on your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.

As a fellow Disney Visa® Card holder, my best advice is to periodically check the Disney Rewards page for updates on shopping and dining discounts, cardmember limited-time offers and photo opportunities.  One little hint, Julie, is to scroll down to the bottom of the page and read the fine print, which is where you will find more details about the perks. There is also a handy FAQ specifically for Cardmember Perks. Finally, check out the Disney Rewards Insider newsletter and blog, including past issues. In your account communication preferences on the Disney Visa® Card website, Cardmembers can opt-in to periodically receive a Disney Rewards Insider newsletter in the mail.

My family has always enjoyed the Walt Disney World Resort Cardmember Photo Opportunities and I’m glad you discovered them! At the EPCOT Photo Op, you never know which of your favorite Characters you might find waiting for you! Currently, this photo op is located in Future World next to Journey Into Imagination With Figment and is available from 1:00 p.m.– 6:30 p.m. At this time, the Star Wars Cardmember Photo Op is at Disney’s Hollywood Studios outside of the Star Wars Launch Bay in the Animation Courtyard, and is available from 11:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. It includes a free Star Wars Magic Shot, with digitally enhanced downloads rather than actual Characters. Both experiences include free Disney PhotoPass downloads.

Julie, remember that you must present a valid Disney Visa® Card for entry for up to 6 people per Cardmember account and have Theme Park admission and reservation for each person in your party. Now, each Cardmember account may be used for entry only one time per day, but here’s a tip, you can visit each of these opportunities on multiple days of your vacation!

Julie, don’t forget to request your Disney Rewards Redemption Card! You can order your card online, request it by phone, or as I recently learned from my planDisney pal, Kaitlin, you can also stop by any of the Guest Relations locations at Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope this information was helpful, Julie. Please stop by and see me here at planDisney anytime with your Walt Disney World Resort questions!

    Remember the magic,
    Shannon
